In loving Memory of Nancy Carol Keckler Mitchell
Nancy Carol Keckler Mitchell, age 65, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. She was born on May 20, 1955, to June Ellen Harrellson Keckler and Cliff Roy Keckler.
Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, friend, and dedicated advocate for Cure for Our Friends (CFOF).
She was survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Jimmy Mitchell; two sons, Justin Roy Mitchell (LeeAnn) and Chase Keckler Mitchell (Jessica); her siblings Johnny Keckler (Shann), Sheila Butt (Stan), Darryl Keckler (Tammie), and Kyle Keckler (Tami); her grandson, Masyn Mitchell; granddaughters, Coralie Mitchell and Jamilynn Mitchell; bonus grandchild, Keely Butler; and special friends Roberta (Birdie), Al, and Vera. She was preceded in death by her son, Jamie Mitchell; her father, Cliff Roy Keckler; and her mother, June Ellen Harrellson Keckler.
Nancy will always be remembered as a loving wife and mother who possessed a special gift of generosity. Her bright smile could light up any room, and she had an incredible ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. Her determination and competitive spirit were infectious and inspired those around her.
For many years, Nancy cherished her involvement with Mount Juliet Youth Sports. She was an avid football fan and proudly supported both the Tennessee Titans and Vanderbilt University.
Recently, she dedicated her time as a volunteer at McKendree Manor, where she brought joy and care to the residents.
The game room was always filled with laughter and energy when Nancy was present.
A memorial visitation was held on Sunday, April 11, 2021, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM.
